Is there a minimum age to play paintball?

The minimum age at national paintball centres is 10 years old and selected venues offer mini-ball events for children aged 8-10 years. The minimum age at local paintball centres is typically 12 years – the specific age limit is listed on the individual centre page, or alternatively contact a member of our team on 0844 815 1756*.

How long does a day of paintballing last?

A full day of paintball at national paintball centres starts at 9:15am where you will be checked in, issued with your equipment and given a briefing on all the safety rules for the day. From there, you will then take part in 12 – 14 exciting paintball games with a short break between each field to recover with a longer break for lunch. The day finishes at approximately 4:30pm after a final ‘big game’ and awards ceremony.

What kind of clothing and footwear is recommended?

We suggest you wear loose fitting clothes that you are comfortable in and can freely move about. We recommend a sturdy walking boot with ankle support and a deep tread rubber sole. Armoured gloves are available for purchase in advance or on the day at the shop at national paintball centres - you can order in advance by calling our bookings team on 0844 815 1756*.

Are there storage facilities at the centre?

Lockers are available to hire for a small charge at each of our national paintball centres – please visit the centre shop to hire a key.

How are teams selected?

Paintball is enjoyed by people of all ages for birthdays, family fun days out, stag & hen parties or corporate functions. We aim to combine players of similar ages together, however, there are often groups of mixed ages (when parents like to play with their children, or there are older siblings joining in).

What if we arrive late?

Please let us know on 0844 815 1756* as soon as possible if you are running late and our staff will do their best to get you started as quickly as possible.

Do I need to fill out a registration form?

For safety and insurance purposes, all persons playing on the day are required to complete a registration form and hand them in to our check in desk before they begin playing at national paintball centres. Players under 16 years old MUST have their form signed by an adult. We attach all of our registration forms to your booking confirmation so that you can complete these before the day and speed up your check-in process.

What happens if someone in our group doesn't turn up?

If a member of your group fails to attend on the date booked, we can arrange for credit places to be issued so you may use these places to book another date in the future.

What happens if it rains?

Whatever the weather, all paintball matches will go ahead. All our game zones are outdoors but there are sheltered areas available in the base camp where you can rest in between games.

How many paintballs do we need?

Paintball usage varies from person to person; some people may choose to be ‘snipers’ and aim for specific targets whereas others go all-out ‘Rambo’! On average, players spending a full day at one of our venues can to use between 400-600 paintballs, but it is completely down to personal preference.

Can I bring my own paintballs?

Due to safety regulations at the centres and the welfare of other people playing paintball, only paintballs issued by the paintball centre on the day of your event can be used at our venues.

Can I buy other items on the day and if so, how?

Yes you can, our shops at paintball centres stock additional paintballs, assorted snacks for purchase – we accept cash and debit or credit cards. Please note; at national paintball centres there is a processing fee incurred when paying by card on the day of your event which is 53p for debit cards and 2.32% for credit cards. In line with the Consumer Rights (Payment Surcharge) Regulation 2012, these fees reflect the cost to the company in processing card transactions.

Is food and drink available at the centre?

All national paintball centres offer a freshly cooked lunch for purchase on the day of your event or in advance. In addition, the paintball shops at national venues sell a variety of crisps, sweets and drinks. Call 0844 815 1756* to pre-order your lunch. Lunch options at local paintball centres vary - please speak to a member of our team for more details.

How can I play with just my own group?

If you book 40 or more players at national paintball centre, you will be entitled to a private game. Should you wish to arrange a private paintball game for less than 40 people, please contact our event co-ordinators on 0844 815 1756* and they will put a tailored package together for your group.

Can I bring my own paintball equipment?

You may bring certain items of your own paintball equipment to national paintball centres, however it is completely at the discretion of the Centre Manager whether you will be able to use them on the day of your event. Players can only use their own marker if they have arranged a private event, if it can operate from the gas canisters provided at the centre, and if it passes a chronograph test. We do not allow players to bring their own gas cylinders to the paintball centre.

Can we bring alcohol?

Alcohol is strictly prohibited at all paintball centres. Any players who have been drinking or appear to be under the influence will be excluded from the games and may be asked to leave the paintball centre.

Does paintballing hurt?

With the introduction of body armour and a built in padded collar in the combat suit provided at national paintball centres, players can play paintball in comfort and with increased protection - however you may come home with harmless bruises. Wearing long sleeve shirts and trousers will also go a long way to absorbing the impact of a paintball and reduce the risk of bruising.
