BALLACK: WE OWE IT ALL TO PAINTBALL!

Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack credited his team’s impressive 4-0 victory at West Ham over the weekend to a team-building game of paintball during the week. Ballack, who was omitted from the starting line-up for the Carling Cup final at Wembley two weeks ago, said the team used the paintball outing as a means to regroup and prepare for the game against West Ham.

"The paintballing was arranged by JT," he added of last Tuesday's exercise near to the club's training ground.  "It is a small part in football but sometimes during the season you have difficult moments, especially after such a defeat by Tottenham.  Then you have to do something a little bit different… we wanted to do something to clean our minds and our heads.”

The paintball event achieved the desired goal, with Chelsea turning their form around in impressive fashion with the comfortable victory away from home against the Hammers. Many organisations, teams and groups use paintballing as an effective team-building activity; from sporting clubs to corporate groups, paintball facilitates open communication, teamwork, effective planning and team cohesion.

At paintball.co.uk we have almost 20 years of experience in helping organisations, corporate groups and sporting teams achieve their performance goals, so why not email Justin@paintball.co.uk and organise your action-packed day of paintball adventure now.

SPRINGWOOD WINS AWARD OF EXCELLENCE

Congratulations to the Delta Force Springwood centre in Kent for winning the Delta Force Award of Excellence for outstanding performance over the last three months. All 22 Delta Force National Centres were graded on various criteria, including player numbers, safety standards, customer feedback, centre cleanliness, equipment procedures and marshalling. Springwood, which has undergone various redevelopments over the past 12 months, was the top performer in several criteria and was recognised as the leading Delta Force paintball centre.

Springwood’s success is based around their dedicated marshals, tested procedures and regulations, and state-of-the-art game scenarios, including:

-         Aztec Jungle Attack

-         Year 3000 Shapes Field

-         Speedball Arena

-         Alamo Stockade

-         Afghan Fort

-         Viet Cong Village

As one of the busiest centres in the UK, Centre Manager Craig Wilson and his team of almost 20 marshals have worked extremely hard over the past 12 months to make Springwood the best Delta Force centre.

Craig said he was extremely happy with the Award of Excellence, and thanked his tireless team of marshals that work so hard to make Springwood the exciting, efficient and friendly centre that it is.

“As a centre we are very proud of the Award, and to be recognised by our peers as the premier paintball provider is a great honour,” Craig said.

So why not head down and play an adrenalin-fuelled day of paintball at the Delta Force Springwood centre and see what makes it the best of the best. But be warned, the other 21 Delta Force National Centres are staking their claim as the top paintball centre, and have already starting making plans to improve their service and win the next Delta Force Award of Excellence.

NIGHT GAMES NOW AVAILABLE AT COMBAT PAINTBALL

The latest and most exciting development to the Combat Paintball operation is the recent opening of their Floodlit Paintball Arena. As the first night time paintball field in the East Anglia region, the game scenario has proved to be an extremely successful development for Combat Paintball. The floodlit arena, illuminated by over 20 lights, is a ‘sup airfield’ that follows the design and structure of professional paintball competitions.

While various other paintball providers extend their hours of operation during the summer months to take advantage of the extra sunlight, the new Floodlit Paintball Arena allows players to enjoy the extended hours all year round. This recent development is set to revolutionise the UK paintball industry, with numerous paintball operators making plans to create their own night time paintball fields.

To organise a paintball package at the latest Combat Paintball Floodlit Arena, please email Justin@paintball.co.uk.

The Ministry of Paintball offices/shop at Smithfield House, Digbeth, Birmingham, West Midlands B5 6BS now lies derelict.  No one answers the door, the building has been emptied, and a neighbouring business advises callers that the Ministry of Paintball closed down overnight, and no one knows where it has gone.

If anyone knows what has happened, and to whom customers should direct enquiries (for example if they purchased goods from the now defunct business) please contact justin@paintball.co.uk

Anyone left holding Ministry of Paintball tickets should call 0800 849 4911 (or email info@paintball.co.uk) because we have a list of paintball centres that will still accept those tickets.
